Tattoo Removal Options

We’ve all been there. You were 18 and rushed out to get a tattoo of your girlfriend. Well, 10 years later, it doesn’t look so good anymore. Not to mention, Janice hasn’t been your girlfriend in 9 years. You’ve made the decision to get the tattoo removed. But what are the options? It can be a scary thought, but rest easy. Today, their are some very safe options for tattoo removal.

Laser Tattoo Removal

By far, the most exercised option for getting rid of a tattoo is laser removal. This involves multiple lasers delivering very high burst of power over a short time frame. They blast away the ink from under the skin, causing the tattoo to slowly fade over multiple sessions. Many people have used this process over the last 5 years, to great effect. However, some tattoos and skin will respond differently to laser treatment. Certain colors for example, will remove easier than others. Black, blue, and green are typically the easiest colors to remove with laser removal. The ink in those colors will tend to break apart much easier, usually resulting in a better success rate for complete removal. Reds, pinks, and yellows are much more difficult to remove, however, with some modern day lasers now being used, this has become less of an issue. Another factor in the success of the tattoo removal, is the amount of ink that was used. Some artists will use quite a bit, depending on the tattoo and their particular process. this will make any tattoo much more difficult to remove, and require more sessions.

The biggest question with laser tattoo removal, is “What is the pain like?” I’m sure many of you have heard horror stories about unbearable pain during these treatment sessions. But, the good news is, that it’s all dependent on your pain threshold. If getting your tattoo wasn’t too much of an annoyance, the removal surgery will be no worse. Many people say it feels like getting snapped by rubber bands, or stung by bees…much the same feeling as getting the tattoo in the first place. And, as always, the location of the tattoo being removed plays a huge role in the discomfort level. The closer you are to bone, the more it will hurt.

Tattoo Cover Up

The other option that many people do not think about is tattoo cover up. This means, having a skilled tattoo artist create another tattoo over the top of your current one, or using elements of hte current one, to blend in with a new design. In this situation, I would strongly suggest looking for an artist that is skilled in tattoo cover ups. They are much different than just putting on a new tattoo. You can see some of the amazing results that can be achieved from a good tattoo artist doing cover up work here. This option will absolutely be cheaper than laser tattoo removal, but it does require you to still have ink on your body. If you are okay with that, and it’s not an issue, than I would suggest looking at this option first. Perhaps there is something symbolic to you in your life now, that you can have as a cover up tattoo. Even if you only have a tiny idea, a good artist will be able to take that and come up with a brilliant design.

The above two options for tattoo removal are really your best options. If you see some ad for a cream or liquid gel that can remove tattoos, please run as far away as possible. There is no magic cure for removing an old tattoo. You can do the laser removal if you have the time and money, or you can get a professional cover up done. Anything else is not going to work and probably is not safe. Remember, this is not a decision to be taken lightly, so please weight both options carefully. And, if you do decide to have laser tattoo removal, or a cover up, do your research, and make sure you pick a professional with proven track records in this process.

Driving new business through search engine optimization

One of the most commonly asked questions among medical providers, whether you are in a small market or large market, is how do I get more clients? You can’t increase your revenue and your profits without more business coming your way. In this post, we are going to discuss search engine optimization, or SEO, to help drive that new business to you.

Of course we all know the traditional forms of marketing to gain new clients. Print ads, radio or tv commericals, billboards, etc. But the cost of those types of media are very expensive, and often times, the ROI does not justify the continuation of such advertisement. So, what else can we do in order to increase our client base? I spoke with a Fargo based company, Digital Famous Media, to get their take on how SEO and digital marketing can help in today’s environment.

SEO in the health industry

If your website is not ranking in the top 5 results of the search engines, you are not getting found. Period

In order to drive new clientele, your website has to be able to “be seen” in the search engines via some good SEO work. More than 60 percent of all new business today is discovered via online searches. So, if you have a cosmetic surgery clinic in Seattle, and someone searches for “plastic surgeon in seattle” where does your website show up? Chances are it’s not in the top 5 results, or even on the first page. In other words, no one is finding your site and visiting it organically. This puts you at a huge disadvantage over your competitors that are showing up high in the search results. They are getting all of the new clientele from SEO searches, and driving new business their way. You are simply losing out and relying on word of mouth, referrals, and expensive advertisement. The whole process of getting your site ranked is called SEO, or search engine optimization. It is a 65 billion dollar business right now and growing. The good news is, a lot of your competitors are probably not yet doing SEO, and if they are, the company they are working with is probably not very good.

How do I find a good SEO company to work with?

We spoke with Digital Famous Media to get their take on what to look for when hiring a good SEO company. You can check out their Facebook page for more tips as well, at https://www.facebook.com/digitalfamousmedia/

First and foremost, look for a company that can prove their results. If they are not ranking their own website for keywords in their local city, then how can you trust them to rank your website for anything? There are a lot of fly by night SEO companies out there who will take your money and run, so make sure they can at least backup their talk.

Second, make sure they are professional. What I mean by that, is do they have a plan in place for your specific company? Any reputable digital marketing agency will do the following before your first meeting:

  1. In depth research on the competition in your area
  2. Keyword difficulty (how hard will it be to rank for the keywords you are looking for?)
  3. Realistic time frame to rank for these keywords(typically between 6 to 18 months depending on competition and KW difficulty)
  4. A monthly agreement based off of the above factors. Anyone who tells you they have a set “package price” regardless of keywords and competition, is not a good SEO
  5. A strategic plan on HOW they are going to get you ranked

Social Media Marketing and Management is also key

Having a strong social media setup is a must for ranking in Google today. In fact, googles algorithm takes social media profiles into consideration when ranking websites. Do you have multiple sites setup with your Name, Address, and Phone Number being consistent across each platform? If not, the search engines might get confused on what your business name is, or what your address is. This will make if difficult to show up the maps results when someone searches for the keywords you are looking to rank for. Also, just having the basic 4 or 5 social media properties is not enough. A good SEO company will set you up with at least 50 of these profiles, and will have the ability to send out new videos or posts to every single one of them at the same time, which will save you hours of work manually posting to each site. If your looking for an example of this, check out Social Media Management in Fargo for more information.

The bottom line, is that if your business is going to succeed long term in today’s business climate, you must do SEO, and social media marketing. Without it, you will be left behind by your competition.

Cosmetic surgery vs Plastic Surgery

Since the two seem to get confused often, I thought I’d shed some light on the subject.

Cosmetic Surgery is a subset of, not synonymous with, plastic surgery. Cosmetic Surgery is an area that is completely committed to the fixing or upgrade of physical appearance. The term refers particularly to elective surgery expected to upgrade the patient’s outer appearance. Plastic surgery, then again, alludes to most systems including the layers of dermis; and all the more by and large incorporates reproduction of physical imperfections from birth, injury, malady, or blaze wounds. The title of specialist, be that as it may, indicates the level of instruction and mastery a specialist must be called such – they are completely prepared and qualified specialists.

Cosmetic professionals finish their training in a preferred region, which could be general surgery, obstetrics, dermatology, or ophthalmology. This particular preparing is then trailed by post-residency instruction, which trains them in cosmetic methodology crosswise over customary disciplinary refinements. The sub-claim to fame of cosmetic surgery coordinates information from the different orders, requiring a specialist who is always instructing himself about the interdisciplinary progressions, and additionally those particular to the cosmetic surgery field.

While a plastic specialist concentrates on anomalies, recreating what has been lost in a mishap or inadequate from birth, a cosmetic specialist takes what is generally normal or typical and makes it delightful. Normal cosmetic surgery strategies incorporate facelifts, tummy tucks, bosom inserts, liposuction and body lifts. Plastic specialists by and large perform strategies to repair congenital fissures, recreate broken noses, or reproduce a bosom after a mastectomy. A few methods, for example, mastectomy and rhinoplasty can be either plastic or cosmetic in nature – relying upon the circumstances.

Despite your thinking for going under the blade, your quest for a plastic or cosmetic specialist ought to be confined to board affirmed specialists with experience and expertise. While it is anything but difficult to turn upward affirmation and years of experience, it is not as basic for the normal individual to evaluate aptitude. One approach to do this is to see prior and then afterward photos of the specialist’s past work. Pretty much as specialists have portfolios and businessmen have resumes, specialists have documentation of their group of work (no quip expected!) to help you pick between planned cosmetic surgery suppliers. In the event that you don’t care for what you see, or feel uncomfortable for any reason, proceed onward to the following specialist. This is your body, and your future; don’t make due with second best when you are searching for plastic or cosmetic surgery.
